A St. Paul man lost control of his pickup truck on a dark highway in western Wisconsin, slid into a ditch and was killed, authorities said.
Richard P. Paul, 49, died in the crash Sunday night on southbound Hwy. 46 south of Amery, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Paul lost control of his pickup after it strayed onto the shoulder, sending it spinning across both lanes of the highway and into the ditch, according to the Sheriff's Office.
