St. Paul Humboldt moves on to PI adapted soccer semis

Isai Mazariego Fernandez scored five goals in the second half to help St. Paul Humboldt rally past Anoka-Hennepin 8-6 in the quarterfinal round of the PI adapted soccer state tournament at Stillwater High School on Friday.

Tyler Ezell scored five goals to help the Mustangs take a 5-2 lead into halftime. Moustaphe Mouhoumed scored three goals for the Hawks, including their first goal in the second half comeback.

In other games: Calvin Gerdt had two goals and two assists to lead Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound Westonka to a 15-1 victory over South Suburban. … Johnny Perez scored six goals and had an assist and Navarro Tollefsen added three goals as Park Center beat Rochester 12-2. … Riley Wisniewski scored four goals and had an assist to lead Dakota United past Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville 8-2.

Tyler Tinnucci's fourth goal was the overtime winner as South Washington County defeated Anoka-Hennepin 6-5. ... Josh Haman scored three goals and had an assist to lead North Suburban past South Suburban 6-2. Hannah Koran added two goals and two assists for the Cougars. ... Nathan Castaneda and TeeJon Gilliam scored three goals each to lead Chaska/Chanhassen/Prior Lake/Shakopee past St. Cloud 6-4. ... Philip Worzie had five goals and two assists to Park Center past Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville 12-2. Alfred Konneh added four goals for the Pirates.
