This spring, fashion is all about Americana. Classic fabrics and patterns like gingham, plaid, stripes and denim had a strong presence on the spring 2010 runways, taking working-class basics and reinventing them for the modern girl. Feminine and classic, to be sure, but offset with a fresh edge.

And what could be more all-American than baseball? The Twins' new state-of-the-art Target Field provides the perfect backdrop for spring's most inspired offerings, with looks that go from tomboy-inspired to picnic-ready.

The open-air stadium is full of amenities, from full-service restaurants to a rooftop lounge. Not only does it have a bright green field of real grass, but the LEED-certified stadium is green in the eco-friendly sense, too. It harks back to a simpler time while looking to the future -- much like these fashions.
