LET THE STARS GET IN YOUR EYES

Today: Winter weather is upon us, and this is your chance to get acquainted with the celestial effulgence of the season's night sky. Learn to use a star chart to find constellations. Stretch out in the "star bag," a tentlike mini-planetarium, and see the night sky inside the warmth of the nature center. A naturalist will tell stories about the constellations and their mythological origins. You can also make your own star chart to take home. (1-3 p.m. today. Free. Kroening Nature Center, 4900 N. Mississippi Court, Mpls. 763-694-7693. www.threeriversparkdistrict.org.)
