Spotlight on the Seahawks

DOUG BALDWIN

Wide receiver

The skinny: The 5-10, 190-pound wideout was a solid role player in his first 4 ½ seasons in the NFL. But he exploded in the final eight games this season, catching a dozen touchdown passes from Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson, who also has taken his game to another level. During Baldwin's torrid stretch, he became only the third player since 1960 with four consecutive games with multiple touchdown receptions.

Last time around: In Week 13, the Vikings caught Baldwin in the middle of his historic touchdown binge. He caught five passes for 94 yards and two TDs, including a 53-yard bomb over banged-up free safety Antone Exum that put the Seahawks up 35-0. Baldwin spent much of the game across from slot cornerback Captain Munnerlyn.

Stat that stands out: 1,012. That's the receiving yards for Baldwin when lined up in slot, tops in the league, per Pro Football Focus. He had only 57 yards as an outside receiver.
