Johnny Spillane of the US won silver in the Nordic Combined - ski jumping and cross-country skiing - this afternoon. It was the USA's first medal in the event.
Seems to me the USA is doing even better than expected in the medal count.

US wins silver in nordic combined. I always thought nordic combined referred to frostbite and black ice.
