Ah, shoot: rumors about the new Spiderman movie say Michael Fassbinder may play the Lizard. I'm unconvinced we need a new Spiderman movie, let alone one that starts it all over again, but this is unfair to the Lizard-in-Waiting, Dylan Baker. He hung around two Spider-Man movies with an empty sleeve, giving geeks everywhere the little thrill that came from Knowing Stuff. See, the prof with the missing arm was Dr. Curt Connors, guy who turned into the Lizard, even though the movies never, ever let on. You just got it, or you didn't. Much like the appeal of Kirstin Dunst, come to think of it.

And now that guy's dumped for the Lizard movie. Still better than the Vulture, who's a creepy old guy, a raincoat flasher with wings, but a Lizard villain means CGI fight-sequences, unless they put the guy in a munchkin-sized Godzilla suit.
