CLEVELAND -- Denard Span, Valencia and Michael Cuddyer are back in the Twins' lineup for Game 1 of today's day-night doubleheader against the Indians.

Span and Valencia suffered whiplash in a fender bender Thursday, and Cuddyer left Friday night's game in the seventh inning with groin tightness.

Brian Duensing is making his first start since Sept. 3.

Update: The Twins have known Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau and Tsuyoshi Nishioka were finished for the season, but for procedural purposes, they officially placed those three on the disabled list. The team has now used the DL 27 times this year.

Correction: In last night's coverage, I wrote that Nick Blackburn was scheduled to see Dr. David Altcheck next week. He's actually being treated by Dr. Tom Varecka, a Twin Cities orthopedist. My bad.

Game 2 starts at 6:05 p.m. (Central).
