Southwest Transit has new route to downtown Minneapolis

Eastbound trip on Route 690V will operate weekdays. The new service started this week.

Southwest Metro Transit, which serves the cities of Eden Prairie, Chaska and Chanhassen, has added a new trip to downtown Minneapolis.

The additional eastbound trip on Route 690V will operate weekdays. The new service started this week.

Buses will depart SouthWest Village at 8:24 a.m., the Southwest Station at 8:35 a.m. and arrive at 12th Street and Hennepin Avenue at 8:55 a.m.

The bus will also stop at 2nd Avenue and 11th Street, 2nd Avenue and Washington Avenue, and Washington Avenue and 4th Avenue N. in downtown Minneapolis.

SouthWest Village Station is at County Road 101 and Hwy. 212 in Chanhassen. Southwest Station is at Hwy. 5 and Prairie Center Drive in Eden Prairie.

The fare in $3 for adults during peak times and $2.25 during non-rush hours.
