Theft. A 2003 Buick Regal was stolen from a parking lot in the 20000 block of County Road 10.

FEB. 18

Theft. Two boys, ages 13 and 14, were arrested for possession of stolen property following a traffic stop in the 6600 block of Vernon Avenue.

EXCELSIOR

FEB. 12

Drugs. A 35-year-old Excelsior man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Water Street.

FEB. 13

Drugs. A 19-year-old New Hope man was arrested for possession of narcotics following a traffic stop for numerous violations near Lake and Water streets.

MAPLE GROVE

FEB. 6

Assist public. Officers responded to a report of a child stuck in a baby swing in the 8700 block of Fish Lake Road. Because it was cold, firefighters cut the swing loose and then brought it inside to remove the child from it.

FEB. 10

Suspicious vehicle. Employees opening the bank at TruStone Financial, 7851 Elm Creek Blvd., reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Officers spoke with the people inside the vehicle, who said they were waiting for the bank to open.

MINNETRISTA

FEB. 14

Check welfare. Officers responded to a report of a 911 hang-up call at a home in Painters Creek Development. They found that a 51-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter were having an argument and mediated the situation.

RICHFIELD

FEB. 12

Weapon. Officers responded to a noise complaint in the 6200 block of Pleasant Avenue S. Upon investigation, they found a loaded handgun in the back seat of a vehicle along with marijuana. A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession of a firearm by a felon, and an 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of an open bottle of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

FEB. 14

Drunken driving. A 15-year-old girl was cited for underage drinking and driving and giving a false name to police after she was stopped for driving with her brights on at 68th Street E. and Cedar Avenue S.

Drugs. A 27-year-old Richfield man was arrested for possession of cocaine after he was stopped for a traffic violation at 63rd Street W. and Dupont Avenue S.

Weapon. Officers located a suspicious vehicle at Motel 6, 7640 Cedar Av. S. They arrested a 19-year-old Minneapolis man for possession of a pistol, marijuana and drug paraphernalia and giving a false name to police; cited a 19-year-old Minneapolis man for possession of marijuana and giving a false name to police, and cited two girls, ages 16 and 17, and two 17-year-old boys for underage consumption of alcohol.
