Southeast Adding To Rainfall Records

Areas across the Southeast will be on the lookout for another round of stormswhich could worsen flooding and aggravate swelled rivers and streams across theregion.Heavy rain will develop along a line of storms from Wednesday night throughThursday night which will dump heavy rain over areas which are alreadysaturated.

The heaviest rain could fall in a zone from northern Louisiana, Mississippi,Alabama and Georgia. Some of these areas have already made news in recent weekswith record-setting rainfall.

New Orleans, for example, has had its wettest December on record and couldstill record its wettest month ever.

Farther east, Columbus, Ga., has already had its wettest year in its historywith more on the way.
