Board meetings are being streamed online School board meetings in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage district can now be viewed online, district officials said. Viewers can watch meetings on the district's website, www.isd191.org, either as they take place or afterward.

Meetings are also broadcast on cable TV in Burnsville and Savage.

'Cyber-bullying' info session to be held Burnsville police and school officials are sponsoring a free information session on "cyber-bullying" on Nov. 9.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Mraz Center at Burnsville High School, 600 E. Hwy. 13. Adults who attend will learn about the ways bullying has changed with the advent of e-mail, smart phones, text messaging and social networks.

NORTHFIELD

High school gets Energy Star Award Northfield High School has received the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Award for the building's indoor environmental performance.

The school is the first building in Northfield to be labeled an Energy Star Building, the school district said.

Since October 2008, the high school has avoided more than $33,000 in energy costs.

The district has been working with the Schools for Energy Efficiency program to improve efficiency in all its schools.

After it demonstrated an improvement of more than 10 percent in overall energy performance, the EPA recognized the district for leadership in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
