BURNSVILLE-EAGAN-SAVAGE

District seeks volunteer award nominations Nominations are due Friday for the John Coskran Volunteer Award, given each year by the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District.

The award honors people whose volunteering either helps students or demonstrates good citizenship. Business people, residents, parents, school district employees, students and alumni are all eligible.

To get a nomination form, contact Ruth Dunn, the district's communications coordinator, at 952-707-2020 or rdunn@burnsville.k12.mn.us. All nominees will be recognized at a reception at 5:30 p.m. on May 6.

ROSEMOUNT-APPLE VALLEY-EAGAN

Apple Valley High to hold college fair Apple Valley High School will host a Minnesota Education Fair on March 31, drawing representatives from nearly 100 colleges, technical schools and military organizations.

The fair, sponsored by the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling, will give students and parents a chance to get brochures and ask questions about post-high school options. Admission is free at the fair, which will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at the high school, located at 14450 Hayes Road, Apple Valley.

FARMINGTON, LAKEVILLE

Free parenting workshop Farmington and Lakeville schools are teaming up to offer a free parenting workshop on Monday.

Presenter Corwin Kronenberg will give advice on teaching kids to be responsible.

The workshop will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Farmington High School, 20655 Flagstaff Av., Farmington.
