NEW PRAGUE

Boundary changes coming in New Prague The New Prague school board plans to change school attendance boundaries for students in grades K-5, Superintendent Craig Menozzi said in a statement last week.

The board aims to spread students more evenly among its three elementary schools, which will enable the district to run more efficiently, Menozzi said. He added that changes also will create space to expand programming in the future, if necessary.

The board plans to consider enrollment projections, building capacities, transportation and other factors before reaching a decision. The board also will come up with a plan to gather community feedback about possible changes.

Board members will discuss the boundary adjustment process in November. They are likely to vote on a specific proposal in January, Menozzi said.

Farmington

District spokesman says he was fired The Farmington school district's communications specialist has left his job. Aaron Tinklenberg, who worked for the district for five years, said last week that he was fired.

Asked why, he said, "I think there was a difference of opinion on how the position could work." Tinklenberg declined to elaborate. His last day was Sept. 29, he said.

Superintendent Brad Meeks declined to comment on why Tinklenberg left. In the next few weeks, "We're going to look at replacing that position somehow," Meeks said. "We obviously want to have a communications presence" in the school district.
