SOUTH ST. PAUL

Board OKs contract for superintendent The South St. Paul school board has signed off on a contract for its new superintendent.

A three-year contract for Dave Webb was approved in a 6-0 board vote last week.

Under the contract, Webb will earn a base annual salary of $146,100 through the 2012-13 school year. Webb's salary is prorated for 2010-11, which means that, since he joined the district two months into its current fiscal year, he will earn $121,900 in base pay during the year.

Webb stands to receive cost-of-living salary increases, as determined by the metro consumer price index. The contract also calls for the school board to approve a plan to give the superintendent up to $5,000 in performance incentive pay for 2011-12 and 2012-13.

FARMINGTON AND LAKEVILLE

Districts to host parenting workshops The Lakeville and Farmington school districts will hold the first in a series of free parenting workshops next week.

Speaker Corwin Kronenberg will kick off the series with a presentation called "Getting Kids to Listen." The event will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday at Kenwood Trail Middle School, 19455 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville.

The parenting series replaces the Fall Parent Fair that the districts have held jointly for the past few years. No registration is necessary. Child care will not be provided.
