The combination of wind shear, cooler temperatures aloft and higher moistureout ahead of a cold front will produce strong to severe thunderstorm Saturdayevening into Saturday night. Though the thunderstorms may lose some steam laterSaturday night, the threat of gusty winds and small hail will continue fromsouthern Missouri into northern Louisiana. An isolated tornado will be possibleinto the late evening.Thunderstorms may continue as far south as the Gulf Coast, as moisture ispulled north from the southern Gulf of Mexico.
More showers and thunderstorms are expected in the same area on Sunday, thoughthe severe threat will not be as widespread.
