A Minneapolis woman sustained noncritical wounds after being shot multiple times late Saturday afternoon in south Minneapolis.

Police responded to a report of a shooting about 5:15 p.m. in the 5700 block of 34th Avenue S. They found the wounded woman, who was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with what were believed to be noncritical injuries, a police spokesman said.

The suspect fled before police arrived. Preliminary investigation suggests the incident may be domestic related, the spokesman said.

Police will release more information if the victim's condition deteriorates or a suspect is arrested.
