One woman was killed and a man was in the hospital after a two-vehicle crash Friday night in south Minneapolis, police said.

One woman was killed and a man was in the hospital after a two-vehicle crash Friday night at the intersection of 24th Street and Park Avenue S. There were no passengers in either car.
The crash occurred at 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of 24th Street and Park Avenue S., said Sgt. William Palmer.
The woman was identified today as Sharonda Renee Harrison, 26, of Minneapolis.
The unidentified man, who had "serious injuries," was being treated at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to a police news release.
There were no passengers in either car.
The Minneapolis Police Department's traffic unit was investigating the accident and "alcohol consumption is being considered as a factor," the release said.
