Vandalism and theft. Police received several reports about break-ins to vehicles parked in garages at an apartment complex in the 7600 block of 142nd Street. Someone had smashed the windows on locked vehicles to steal belongings.

Burglary. A resident of the 14800 block of Lower Endicott Way told police that his house was burglarized on the night of Jan. 30. The man said he had spent the night at a hotel, let a woman he barely knew use his car, and that she returned the car to the hotel the next morning. When he arrived home, he discovered that the batteries in his garage door opener in his car had been removed and that the house had been burglarized. Burnsville

Property damage. Officers investigating a disturbance in the 15100 block of Greenhaven Drive arrested a 32-year-old Burnsville man for tampering with a motor vehicle and for property damage.

FEB. 8

Robbery. Police were alerted to a robbery in progress in the 14200 block of Irving Avenue S. and arrested two men -- a 20-year-old Eagan man and a 27-year-old Burnsville man -- on charges of first-degree robbery with a gun, fifth-degree assault and making terroristic threats.

Domestic. Police responded to a call about a fight in the 2000 block of Safari Heights Trail and arrested a 20-year-old Eagan man for domestic assault.

FEB. 3

Assault. An officer responding to a disturbance call in the 1200 block of Sunnyside Drive arrested a 19-year-old Farmington man for second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

JAN. 26

Harassing text messages. An officer responded to a report from the 400 block of Spruce Circle that an 18-year-old male was sending harassing text messages to his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend. The officer determined that text messages actually were being sent by both parties and also another adult female. All of the parties were advised to stop sending text messages to one another.

JAN. 28

Theft. A business on the 600 block of W. 2nd Street reported theft of a trailer sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. The loss was reported at $9,459.

JAN. 30

Fight. Officers responded to a report of a fight at a bar on the 200 block of E. 1st Street. An adult female was jailed for fourth-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct; an adult male was jailed for fifth-degree assault.

Prior Lake

Narcotics. Police received a report about students in possession of drug paraphernalia and found three juveniles in the 15800 block of SE. Fish Point Road. Police said a 13-year-old Prior Lake boy was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana; a second 13-year-old boy was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia; and a 12-year-old boy was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Rosemount

Drugs. A 17-year-old Rosemount boy was stopped and arrested at 2:52 p.m. in the 3300 block of W. 142nd Street for possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.

Shakopee

FEB. 4

Traffic. A 27-year-old Shakopee man was arrested for drunken driving and his passenger, a 30-year-old Shakopee man, was arrested on an outstanding Hennepin County warrant at the intersection of S. Marschall Road and E. 4th Avenue.
