Vandalism and theft. Police received several reports about break-ins to vehicles parked in garages at an apartment complex in the 7600 block of 142nd Street. Someone had smashed the windows on locked vehicles to steal belongings.
Burglary. A resident of the 14800 block of Lower Endicott Way told police that his house was burglarized on the night of Jan. 30. The man said he had spent the night at a hotel, let a woman he barely knew use his car, and that she returned the car to the hotel the next morning. When he arrived home, he discovered that the batteries in his garage door opener in his car had been removed and that the house had been burglarized. Burnsville

Property damage. Officers investigating a disturbance in the 15100 block of Greenhaven Drive arrested a 32-year-old Burnsville man for tampering with a motor vehicle and for property damage.

Robbery. Police were alerted to a robbery in progress in the 14200 block of Irving Avenue S. and arrested two men -- a 20-year-old Eagan man and a 27-year-old Burnsville man -- on charges of first-degree robbery with a gun, fifth-degree assault and making terroristic threats.
