Communications firm wins three awards Neuger Communications Group announced recently that it won three awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, including a Platinum Award, the highest honor, for its work on the College of the Atlantic admissions viewbook.

The Northfield-based firm also won a Gold Award for its work on a St. Olaf College recruitment packet and an honorable mention for a 2009 annual report for the Lutheran Educational Conference of North America.

Neuger serves a wide array of industries nationwide, including financial services, construction, agriculture, nonprofit and health care.

Valleyfair gets Subway A Subway restaurant will open at Valleyfair for the amusement park's 2010 season. It joins other national brands including Panda Express, Ben & Jerry's, Cinnabon, Dippin' Dots and Icee as food vendors at the park.

Valleyfair, entering its 35th year of operation, is open daily May 15 to Sept. 6 and on weekends through October.

The park is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.

State of city speech at chamber luncheon The "state of the city" address from Mayor Holly Dahl and City Administrator Steve Mielke will be the centerpiece of the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce's April general membership luncheon today at the Holiday Inn & Suites, 20800 Kenrick Av.

Registration starts at 11:30 and the program begins at noon.
