Part of County Road 42 will be closed Sunday, Nov. 15 so the Union Pacific Railroad can make repairs to the rail crossing near Hwy. 3. The road will be closed in both directions from 10 a.m. until about midnight between Hwy. 3 and Business Parkway. Traffic will be rerouted north of 42, using Hwy. 3 (also known as South Robert Trail), 145th Street and Biscayne Avenue.
Steeple Center available for rentals
Rosemount's Steeple Center will soon begin accepting 2016 reservations.
The center at 14375 South Robert Trail, in the former St. Joseph's Church, underwent a 10,000-square-foot addition in the past year. The assembly hall seats 192 with 5-foot round tables or 204 in theater-style rows. The addition includes a lobby area with a fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, cafe-style seating, a kitchen, conference room and three rooms for meetings, seminars and small events.

Holiday lighting ceremony
The Downtown Lakeville Business Association is holding a holiday lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Nov. 24 in Pioneer Plaza at Holyoke Avenue and 208th Street.
The lights in the trees will be switched on for the holiday season. The Lakeville South High School Encore Singers will perform and refreshments will be available.

Winter clothing drive runs through Dec. 2
The Sportsman's Guide store and the city of South St. Paul's Beyond the Yellow Ribbon committee are holding their fifth annual Winter Clothing Drive to benefit Minnesota soldiers and their families.
The drive started Nov. 11 and continues through Dec. 2. Items needed include new or gently used jackets, boots, mittens and scarves. They can be dropped off at the store at 490 Hardman Av. in South St. Paul. In the past four years, more than 3,000 clothing items have been donated.
