Botanical artists have show at arts centerBotanical art that is both scientifically accurate and aesthetically pleasing is on display at the Lakeville Area Arts Center.

The show by the Great River Chapter of Botanical Artists is open for viewing during regular hours at the Arts Center from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Most of the work is in watercolor, but some is in colored pencil, graphite and carbon dust. Nearly 50 pieces are on display through Sept. 16.

Free concerts coming to LeDuc EstateA series of free concerts will be offered on Sundays throughout August at the LeDuc Historic Estate.

•On Aug. 5, the River Valley Band will perform a variety of music.

•On Aug. 12, Doo-Da Day will entertain with popular and show tunes.

•On Aug. 19, the Eric Thomas Trio will perform mostly jazz.

•And on Aug. 26, the Jolly Huntsmen, a polka band, will perform with the Retka Boys.
