Arts Guild to present 'Romeo and Juliet'The romance and drama will be off the charts when performances of "Romeo and Juliet" start next week in Central Park.

The Northfield Arts Guild, celebrating its 50th anniversary theatrical season, will stage six 7 p.m. shows: Aug. 6, 7, 8, 12, 13 and 14. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors and are available at www.northfieldartsguild.org or through the Arts Guild at 507-645-8877.

The production is directed by Jeanne Willcoxon with stage combat choreography by Todd Edwards. The cast includes Dick Brown, Elizabeth Buckheit, Nolan Byhre, Joey Cherney, Lauren Cummins, Susan Dunhaupt, Jordan Ett, Brendon Etter, Henry Ganey, Jack Johnson, Tim Komatsu, Nathan Kuhlman, Louisa Lawler, Steve Lawler, Michael Lessard, Julia Mandsager, Faye Merrit, Stacy Mittag, Mickey Morstad, Tristan Rholl and Patrick Walker.

Race highlights 'Cars for Courage' programLocal celebrities will race to raise awareness of Courage Center's car-donation program during the "Race for Courage" on Sunday at Raceway Park.

The race starts at 5:30 p.m. and will include media personalities such as WCCO TV's Jason DeRusha and FOX 9's Jason Matheson. Park admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids. Raceway Park is off Hwy. 101 at One Checkered Flag Blvd. For more information or directions, see www.goraceway park.com.

Courage Center's "Cars for Courage" vehicle donation program accepts cars, boats, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles in good condition, then sells them to raise money for the nonprofit.
