Learn new marketing strategies at free seminar Author and business owner Lonny Kocina of Kocina Marketing Cos. is offering local professionals the chance to learn 15 key marketing concepts at a free seminar Feb. 25.

Kocina will go over how to effectively prepare ads, update websites, train sales staff, create direct mail pieces and improve other marketing promotions. Kocina is founder and president of Kocina Branding & Marketing Cos. He also founded Media Relations in 1988 and serves clients who pay only for media coverage they receive. Since the company started, it has grown to serve more than 1,000 businesses globally and has placed tens of thousands of news stories on their behalf, his firm said in a news release. Before founding Media Relations, Kocina held the position of marketing director with Investment Rarities Inc., a precious metals investment company with more than $4 billion in sales. He teaches marketing at Dakota Technical College.
