Nick Johnson won't be suspended for last night's head-butt incident

Morning from Salt Lake City, where I'm connecting on my way to San Jose.

According to NHL sources, Wild winger Nick Johnson will not face any supplemental discipline for last night's questionable head-butting incident with Flames captain Jarome Iginla in a fight.

If there was any contact, it appeared incidental, and the league at the very least probably felt the Wild faced enough punishment having to kill a five-minute power play and play the third period without Johnson, who was terrific last night.

In other words, Johnson gets time served.

As for rescinding the match penalty and game misconduct off Johnson's record, the Wild would have to formally request the removal to Supervisor of Officials Terry Gregson, which I'd assume the Wild will do.

The Wild will practice this afternoon in San Jose. More later in terms of updates on Cal Clutterbuck's injury situation and tomorrow's goalie decision.
