St. Paul Academy senior Sonya Das won her second consecutive Class 1A state championship Friday, defeating Holy Family senior Danielle Gannon 6-0, 6-1 at Reed-Sweatt Tennis Center in Minneapolis.
Das controlled play from the outset, finishing the match in little more than one hour. Das did not lose a set in the entire tournament and finished the season undefeated.
