MINNEAPOLIS — A nonprofit created to benefit former Replacements guitarist Slim Dunlap as he recovers from a massive stroke is putting more songs up for auction.

Bidding on the latest single starts Saturday at the Songs for Slim website.

The single features John Doe, co-founder of the LA punk band X, performing "Just for the Hell of It." On the flip side, alt-country rockers Deer Tick perform "From the Git Go," with an assist from singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton and Scott Lucas.

The 7-inch single is limited to 100 numbered copies featuring original picture sleeve artwork by former Replacements drummer Chris Mars.

The auction runs through June 22. Last month's auction of a single featuring Jakob Dylan and Joe Henry raised almost $5,600 for Dunlap and his family.
