Some Relief from the Cold on the Way

Milder air will edge eastward across the country over the next few days,putting an end to a record breaking cold spell that has gripped the easternhalf of the nation lately. Highs in cities in the Midwest and northern Plainsincluding Des Moines, Minneaplis, Chicago and Green Bay dropped as much as 20degrees below normal since late last week.Temperatures will begin to rebound today, as milder air begins to chip away atthe cold. However, it will take until the middle of the week beforetemperatures return to normal levels for this time of the year. Highs will evenclimb into the 50s in parts of the northern High Plains.
