Snowmobiler dies in Isanti County crash

A 50-year-old snowmobiler was killed late Saturday when his machine slammed into a tree about a dozen miles southeast of Princeton, Minn., the Isanti County Sheriff's Department said Sunday.

The victim, whose name and hometown have not been released pending notification of his family, hit a tree in Spencer Brook Township about 9:50 p.m. He died at the scene.

The accident is under investigation by sheriff's deputies.
