A major early spring snowstorm will disrupt travel by road and air over aswath of the central Great Plains and the Midwest on Saturday night throughSunday. At the heart of this snow corridor, new snowfall Saturday eveningthrough Sunday afternoon will reach 6 to 12 inches between west-centralNebraska and northern Iowa. The leading edge of snow amounting to 1 to 3 incheswill reach eastward to greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Minnesota's Twin Citiesas of early on Sunday evening.The most serious storm impact will weigh upon the central Plains overnight.

A blizzard will result from winds reaching 40, 50 and even 60 mph overwest-central Nebraska through northwestern Iowa and southeastern South Dakota.

Road closures will be likely, potentially even along stretches of I-29 andI-80.

Over eastern Wyoming, eastern Colorado and together with western Nebraskaand South Dakota, additional snowfall will be 3 inches or less and the weatherwill improve along stretches of I-25 and I-90.

On Sunday night, this storm will bring rain followed by accumulating snow togreater Chicago. Snowfall may be 1 to 3 inches as of Monday morning.
