Weekend plans will definitely be disrupted over the central Plains. Acrippling blizzard will make travel nearly impossible. Any scheduled activitiesare sure to get cancelled.The blizzard will unleash the worst of its fury from far northeasternColorado to the border of Nebraska and South Dakota. This includes the citiesof Sterling, Colo.; Sidney, Neb.; and Yankton, S.D. Up to a foot of snow willblanket these areas tonight into Saturday night. Strong winds severely whippingthe snow around will make getting accurate totals difficult.
Six inches or more of snow is anticipated in Denver and Cheyenne. Similartotals are expected over northern Iowa and southern Wisconsin by the end of theweekend as the snowstorm heads eastward.
