Yes, it is snowing in New England but not in Connecticut or Massachusetts,where snow would be unusual for so late in the season. Up north, they expect tosee this sort of thing happen at least once this time of year.In any case, the higher elevations of upstate New York, Vermont, northern NewHampshire and Maine will have substantial snowfall totals to report by noonWednesday. Roads were mostly wet Tuesday due to the strong April sun effect,but slippery conditions will develop overnight.
The storm will be tapering off across most of the area Wednesday afternoon.
Though New Englanders will have to put up with very chilly weather for the nextcouple of days, a pleasant warmup is due to reach the region Friday andSaturday.
