Dramatic weather improvement along the Southern Appalachians and themid-Atlantic on Sunday will favor cleanup operations on the streets, highwaysand airport runways.The end to the snow and slackening of the wind will reach New York, New Jerseyand areas further west by daybreak on Sunday. Weather in these areas on Sundaywill turn out dry and cold with clearing and and temperatures in the 30s.
The storm's high winds and snow along with serious blowing and drifting snowwill wind down during the morning from Long Island to Boston, the by lateafternoon on Cape Cod.
Road and airport crews should, once the storm abates as indicated about, beable to progress unhindered by additional weather related problems duringSunday and beyond.
