"Smash," the upcoming NBC show about launching a Marilyn Monroe musical, is hoping that some like it hot in Minnesota.

NBC announced Friday that the drama, which debuts Feb. 6, will help local schools in 20 markets, including the Twin Cities, stage musical productions and implement self-sustaining program. The specific school in Twin Cities has not been announced.

Each chosen school will get a "Showkit" - CDs, sheet music, choreography DVDs, scripts - plus guidance for a local advisor.
