A small sewer sinkhole has closed a busy street in the St. Anthony Park neighborhood of St. Paul this weekend.

A hole about 18 inches wide and a couple of feet deep formed on Raymond Avenue just north of W. Hampden Avenue, according to Bruce Elder, the city's sewer utility manager.
"It looks like a pothole," he said.
The street was closed for safety, Elder said. Repairs will most likely have to be made to a manhole or a sewer line, he said. According to a release on the city website, the sewer line damage is confined to the street's right of way, and it will be repaired once the damage has been evaluated.
Traffic will be detoured onto Energy Park Drive, Hwy. 280 and Territorial Road for Monday morning's commute, the city said.
