Small Plane Crashes into Florida Home

A small plane crashed into a residential neighborhood near Fort Lauderdale,Florida this morning. The plane struck and destroyed a home in the Oakland Parkcommunity. At this time, there appears to be at least one fatality.Observations around the time of the crash at Fort Lauderdale Airport indicatedbroken cloud cover between 3500 and 4500 feet with a wind from the east andnortheast averaging 10 to 15 mph with a few gusts between 20 and 25 mph. Thehorizontal visibility was 10 miles or better.

No rain or thunderstorms were in the vicinity.
