Sloth Week is here! New videos of the slow, cute animals will be posted throughout the week. It's the Internet, so why not?

Sloth Week is here!

You didn't know there was a Sloth Week? Me neither. But it's the Internet, so why not? Sloths (and cats, dogs, baby goats and something called a slow loris) are popular online.

Animalist and Animal Planet are promising all kinds of cute videos at SlothWeek.com. For instance, this little number called "What does the sloth say?"

Granted, this isn't the sloth's first moment in the Internet spotlight. The Guardian wrote "How sloths took the internet by storm (slowly)" way back in 2010 about videos from a sloth orphanage Costa Rica. Sloths are also meme regulars with celebrity fans.

So slow and lazy and cute.
