The State Patrol's radio's are crackling today with incessant calls to help stranded motorists. As of 11:45 a.m., 319 vehicles had slipped off or spun out on state highways, with 198 of those in the metro area.
The Patrol had responded to 76 crashes (58 in the metro area), but none had been fatal, said Lt Eric Roeske of the State Patrol.
