Just how impressive was Rep. Michele Bachmann's astronomical $5.4 million fundraising haul last quarter?

She raised three times as much as the next closest House candidate in a competitive race — her own challenger Democrat Tarryl Clark.

The Washington Post compiled a database of third quarter fundraising, which shows just how mind-boggling the figures coming out of the Sixth District are.

A breakdown of the numbers:

Clark didn't just out-raise all other House challengers at $1.8 million — she brought in more than everyone outside of Bachmann and House Minority Leader John Boehner. Boehner, who is not included in the Post database because his re-election is not in doubt, raised $2.2 million last quarter.

Bachmann's fundraising numbers would put her fourth among all Senate candidates, behind only Nevada Republican Sharron Angle, California Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer and her opponent Carly Fiorina.

Taken together, Clark and Bachmann raised $7.2 million. The next closest House race is Florida's 22nd District, where the two candidates raised $2.5 million.
