The Saints scored two tying runs in the seventh but eventually fell 6-5 in 11 innings to the host Sioux Falls Pheasants on Wednesday night.

Jason Cooper, who finished with four of the Saints' 19 hits and three RBI, tied the score at 5-5 with a one-out, two-run triple in the seventh.

But Cooper was stranded at third, and the Saints also left the bases loaded in the top of the 11th, setting the stage for Henry Contreras' game-winning single in the bottom of the inning.

Etc.• A loss Tuesday by super heavyweight Jonathan Hamm, who trains at St. Paul's Rice Street Gym, made him the last of three boxers with Minnesota ties to be eliminated at the Olympic Trials in Mobile, Ala.
