Not his own money, of course. By the way, what exactly is the difference between this show and Idol?

Maybe the difference is Simon, being Simon. No one tunes in to see him praise anyone, do they? We watch to see him punish people for their self-delusions. It's apparent he enjoys it, too; without these shows he'd be hanging around the beach sarcastically reviewing kids' sand castles.
