February 15, 2005 at 4:00AM

Chances are, if you're female and you've been in a wedding, you probably still have a bridesmaid dress hanging in your closet. At one time, you hoped to wear it again. But everytime you glimspe it, you know, deep in your heart, there's no hope. It's just plain...ugly.

Click to watch video of the "Worst Bridesmaid's Dress contest"Here's your chance to turn something ugly into something beautiful. Use the form below to send us a photograph of you in the dress. It can be a current photo, or one taken during the wedding. Please include your name, a short caption and your contact information (contact information will not be published). Hurry, the contest closes on February 28, 2005.

We'll post the entries in a photo gallery (you'll feel better just knowing there are others in the same boat). Then we'll select finalists and let you vote for your favorite.

The person judged (by voters and startribune.com judges) to have the ugliest dress will receive a beautiful spring bouquet of flowers delivered to her. A runner-up will receive a slightly smaller -- but still lovely -- bouquet.

Need some inspiration? There were a lot of serious contenders for the title of "Worst Bridemaid's Dress" at the Minnesota History Center's contest, held as part of the opening for the "Happily Ever After" exhibit on Feb. 13. Judges said it was a tough call choosing the worst of the worst. View the video here.
