Here's something to ponder. A story in the Business section of Monday's paper www.startribune.com/lifestyle/homegarden/102653249.html was about a pair of rehabbers who are buying foreclosures, fixing them up and reselling them for a profit. They're doing it to make money, but also to help prop up home values in a distressed north Minneapolis neighborhood. The story mentioned a program through the Twin Cities Community Land Bank that gives affiliated developers first dibs on foreclosures before they hit the broader market.
