A Craigslist transaction turned into an attempted robbery and led to shots being fired Tuesday evening outside the Shakopee Wal-Mart, police said.

The incident took place at 6:38 p.m. Tuesday outside the store at 8101 Old Carriage Court. The store was put on lockdown when police arrived, a news release said.

One of two men in a gray or silver van pulled a gun and attempted to rob the victim, police said. The incident began as a Craigslist transaction, the release said.

The audio of the call on the Police Calls Twitter page said six shots were fired; police said there were no injuries. Any witnesses to the incident are asked to call 952-233-9400. Police reminded residents that the Shakopee Police Department headquarters is a designated Craigslist transaction location.
