A 28-year-old bicyclist from Shoreview died Thursday of injuries suffered when he was struck by a car Wednesday night in Shoreview.

Joseph Hunt was hit in the eastbound lane of Hwy. 96, near Village Center Drive, about 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office. The car's driver, Bruce Akerman, 67, of North Oaks, immediately called 911 from the scene to report the accident and cooperated fully with authorities, they said.
