The setting of warm, settled weather in the East and stormy, even wintry,
weather in the West will flip as of the start of the new week. Thus, it will
become wet and rather cold with widespread rain over the Midwest and most of
the Northeast. At the same time, strong high pressure will afford widespread
sunshine and dramatic warming throughout the West.
Thus, while the Denver area sees whatever is left of its latest snowfall
melt rather like spilt ice cream in summer, cold rain may turn to snow in the
Upper Midwest in areas such as Wisconsin.
