Did you catch Shannon Curfman on the CMT Awards on Wednesday? The Twin Cities blues-rock guitarist is in Kid Rock's band. At least for June, according to Shannon's posting on her Facebook.

Curfman was supposed to rock with the Detroit star on Friday night at the Bowlful of Blues in Newton, Ia., but the show was canceled due to weather. So she is headed back to the Twin Cities.

Meanwhile, Kid Rock has four shows in late June in London opening for Bon Jovi and presumably Curfman is on board for those.

Fresh out of Fargo, Curfrman signed with Arista Records at age 14 and released her debut in 1999. She has since offered two indie albums, "Fast Lane Addiiction" in 2007 and "What You're Getting Into" in Februrary. Now based again in the Twin Cities, Curfman, now 24, lived for a time in Los Angeles and in Detroit, where she worked with Marlon Young, a crony of Kid Rock's and co-producer of her 2007 CD.

Kid Rock is slated to headline We Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minn., on Aug. 6. No word whether Curfman will still be in his group then. Watch for an update.
