Shallow water yields big results

Shallow water and inside weed lines can yield a large variety of fish this time of year.

For panfish: Try using slip-bobber rigs on inside weedlines in approximately 4 feet of water. This time of year, nightcrawlers, minnows and artificial plastics work well. Experiment with colors. Naturals seem to work best in clear water conditions.

For larger bass and gamefish, try matching the hatch. There is plenty of natural forage in the lake so try to match it up. Small spinners, natural colored chatterbaits&spinnerbaits, weightless worms, light jigs, tubes&small minnow hard baits work exception for fish this time of year.
