A cold front moving into the Northeast and Ohio Valley will trigger a line ofstrong to severe thunderstorms from Thursday into Thursday night.The cold front will move into a very unstable environment due to hightemperatures and humidity already in place. The front will be the sparknecessary to ignite these storms.
The storms are expected to impact areas from southern Indiana and northernKentucky northeastward into New England during the daytime then the threat willshift into the Maryland, Delaware and Virginia Thursday night.
These storms will be capable of producing torrential downpours, damaging windgusts, large hail and even isolated tornadoes.
