The old story of warm, humid air streaming northward from the Gulf of Mexicoclashing with dry air draining off the Rockies and the deserts of the Southwestwill be repeated as these factors combine to form severe thunderstorms. Thisdangerous weather will occur across central Texas northeast into Oklahoma,Arkansas and southern Missouri on Monday. By Tuesday, the area at greatest riskwill be slightly farther south and east, across the Hill Country ofsouth-central Texas and into Louisiana.This rash of thunderstorms will create excessive, flooding rainfall anddamaging winds. There will also be local large hail, as well as the possibilityof a few tornadoes.
